This was a collaborate work in the first year of my animation program with Tulsa Tech. The prompt was to create a story emphasizing the positive impact pets have on kids’ mental health. The leader in our group created a story revolving around a young girl who has conduct difficulties and encounters a friendly stray dragon who teachers her compassion and to have consideration towards others.

For this project, my contributions were designing the school bus, a couple backgrounds, and refining a majority of the storyboards to increase clarity and understanding for the animators. It was a good experience in learning to work as a team as well as an important lesson in communication with fellow creatives and task delegation.

Deleted/unused storyline where the dragon turns out to be a missing pet and Izzy is conflicted about doing the right thing and returning her new friend to his owner. She does and gains friendship with her classmate as a result.
